Season Opener

The wait is finally over as our opening game against Norwich is upon.  The start of any season is never easy especially against a newly promoted team,  also after last seasons ups and downs it is imperative we start the season on a good note, a winning note.

It's been a very promising pre season with young Harvey Elliott showing brilliant footwork and skill and a maturity to his game beyond his years.  Then also Kosta T. had some great performances with several assists throughout the pre season.  Kostas form is a lucky break because unfortunately Robertson has sprained his ankle and will be out of action for about a month.  There is hope Robbo will be back directly after the first international break.  Also the young lad Jones copped a few nasty knocks in our last match leaving him concussed and illegible for this weekend match, however at this point in time we have ample coverage in the middle of the park.

Something Klopp hasn't had for a while and that's a selection headache with Big Virgl and Gomez completing over 70 minutes in our recent matches.  Then we have the new beast Ibu who put on a good show during his pre season appearances and not to forget the Gumby of the group Matip.

Either way it's going to be interesting to see what our lineup will be, but who cares I'm just happy the season has finally returned.
