Liverpool v Burnley | Live fans match thread!

Boom! Just like that three points hit the back of the net in our first game and we're, up up and away home against Sean Dyche's Burnley mob next.

Back where we belong, hallowed ground - Anfield - home of the best damn football team in the world, the best fans in the world, the best players and best managers in the world. Blooming Burnley though will be looking to prove otherwise.

Sadly, Fabinho is unlikely to feature due to his dad passing away and we send him and family our best wishes. May his father rest in peace.

Against Norwich I felt we looked very good and there were many signs of encouragement for the season ahead. Our attack was right on song and if all our attackers remain fit we may well benefit from the increased competition.

I expect Mane and Salah to start most games and on the left and right respectively which leaves the centre spot up for grabs between Jota and Firmino. If the result of that is them pushing each other to goal scoring form as per last week than happy days are here again.

Our defence looked solid and it was pleasing to see Van-Dijk back as well as Tsimikas looking sharp at LB. If we now have solid cover for Robertson that's great news.

Midfield is perhaps where questions are still unanswered. I think most of us here and expect most fans feel we are a player or two short in the centre of the pitch. It's possible Henderson and/or Thiago may be back for this match and they make a huge difference for the better.

Tomorrow I expect much the same line-up as our last game and will be keen to see if the attack and defence are able to continue their good form. In midfield will Keita play nearly two whole games on the bounce? We will all pray to the injury gods if he does.

Regardless of our line-up, there's only going to be one outcome, a massive shellacking for Burnley.

Let's go Reds!
