Liverpool v Villa | Live fans match thread!

Every day it's a getting closer, going faster than a rollercoaster. Love like yours will surely come my way. The well known Buddy Holly song about our longing for three point Anfield affection this season.

Anfield however is clearly yearning for the return of fans but hopefully at the seventh time of asking, on the bounce, our singing from the sofa will be enough to attract victory. We won't dwell on other sevens connecting us to Villa.

We will make mention of the fact Jack Grealish is out injured for them and how it may be beneficial for us. Our own injury list never seems to shrink with VVD, Gomez, Joe, Matip, Joel, Jordan, Henderson, Origi, and Divock all still out.

You'll notice I admitted to include Naby there. Having listened to Klopp's pre-match presser I can't work out if Naby's injured or not. Check it out.

Big game this, we need maximum points to stay in the hunt for fourth in the Premier League. Trouble is we have an equally big match on Wednesday which is a must win if we're to stay in the hunt for Champions League victory.

Both would see us qualify for next season's Champions League but only one would add silverware in the current season. Does that mean we should prioritise Wednesday's match? Or should we put an equal number of eggs in each basket.

I favour us playing our best team tomorrow, get some early goals and only then consider resting / protecting people for midweek. With that in mind I'd go with the following line-up.

Alisson, Robertson, Kabak, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold, Thiago, Fabinho, Jones, Mane, Jota, Salah.

Not all of the above have been in great form but that's still our best available eleven at present in my view. What say you peoples. Can we better that selection and should we even be risking our very best before Real Revenge part deux.

Liver Bird's Scorecast...... Oh boy!, this season we've been mostly crying, waiting, hoping. But fade away, we shall not and maybe baby this one will be four chuffing nil. Rave on Redmen!
