Liverpool FC v Manchester City l Fans Live Match Thread!

Next we face current league leaders and perpetual money cheats Manchester City, and in a season with results looking like a bag of pick-n-mix, we just never know what we’re going to get.

This could be classed as a season changing match but so could every game, therefore I will not let myself label this match and instead just hope the lads turn up and put in a great performance. The like of which we saw only a few games ago.

With two home defeats on the trot our lads need to pull out all the tricks to stop the rot and start to rebuild our season. On a more positive note Manchester City are NOT in the bottom six so there's an extremely good chance our players will perform to the standards we've become accustomed to.

During Klopp’s pre-match conference he was once again cagey on the returning injured players, but after plugging all the information into my Enigma machine, I can say with a high degree of confidence that Gomez, Matip and VVD are not available.

Unfortunately the machine started to overheat and smoke up so I was unable to determine if any other players are due back with extreme certainty.

Although Klopp was all cloak and daggers he did dangle a nice juicy carrot by stating that Alisson was feeling better and took part in an individual training session. Then he hinted that both Fab’s and Mane would take part in a makeshift session and see how they fared.

As great writers once said “always look on the bright side of life”, so with that in mind I am going with the opinion all those borderline injured players will be fit enough to play and start on Sunday night.

Alisson, Robbo, Fab, Benny, TAA, Hendo, Thiago, Ox, Mane, Bobby, Salah

Kelleher, Oz, Neco, Milner, Jones, Gini, Origi

Liver Bird's Scorecast: Hendo's hit squad 4, Raheem's ridiculous rabble 0.
