Manchester United v Liverpool | FA Cup 4th Round | Live fans match thread!

We go again! It is the only way and although right now we're licking our wounds, that can change on a dime and us be flying high again before we know it.

To borrow a very nice quote: A wounded lion is nonetheless a lion. In a league of Gazelles the lion dominates regardless.

The only thing to do is put squad and transfer concerns out of our minds and crack on. That is what we will do too.

In our very recent match against Utd we had 66% possession and 17 shots, versus their 8, so clearly the problem is getting those shots on target. The way to resolve it that is with tireless work on the training ground and performance enhancing drugs never, ever, playing Origi.

Yes, I know he didn't play against Utd but dog damn, how did he miss that chance against Burnley.

I was going to pose the question of how fussed are we about the FA Cup in this challenging season and if we could perhaps do without it but this match is against the enemy so no point in considering anything other than us going all out to shellac them.

What line-up should we field? There was no mention in Klopp's pre-match presser of Henderson so assuming he's still out, as well as Keita, something like the following seems favourite.

There are a number of options available to us. Ox could be included but I wasn't overly impressed with him in our last match. Milner could replace Trent or be used in midfield but to me that doesn't add any more cut and thrust which is what's needed to score.

I favour keeping Shaqiri in the team as he's looked sharp and will hopefully hone his shooting to the point he's grabbing goals. I'd like to see Minamino given a chance and like the idea of swapping Mane to the right to help our attack there where Trent's been struggling. Salah is still our best forward really.

The above could also be deployed as a 4-2-3-1 with Gini and Thiago in holding roles and Shaq as a ten which may be worth a try. I expect Jurgen will surprise us with the actual line-up and let's just hope it works out on the day.

We have people watching on in support who'll be feeling the nerves too, maybe hiding behind sofas but for sure still singing and still lucky weeing. Hopefully we can do them proud - we'll certainly give it a damn good go.

The last time we won at Old Trafford. Time to do something about that.

Liver Bird's Scorecast: One nil in the first half, one all in the 89th minute, eight seven to us on penalties.
