Fulham v Liverpool I Live fans match thread!

With the Champions League group stages over and done with it's time to concentrate on cementing top position in the EPL but don't be mistaken my fellow Red's, just because the CL's paused until February it doesn't mean an ease in the schedule. The only difference now is that every English team is playing two games a week not just those involved in European football.

Sunday night we'll come up against a resurgent Scott Parker's Fulham side who are starting to find their feet after being promoted this season. Fulham are currently languishing 17th on 7 points, but don't be deceived by their position, they have suffered some narrow defeats to West Ham and Everton whilst securing 3 points against the likes of Brendan Rodger's Leicester.

Although mid-week Klopp 'rested' some of our first team players, as per our prior article I think several got more minutes on the park than was prudent and with a huge 6 pointer v Spurs on Wednesday, it will be interesting to see if any players get another mini rest in this match.

During Klopp's pre-match press conference he was asked for an update on injured players, he advised that Ox was back to full training this week and he wanted to get him back on the pitch "as soon as possible" Klopp said there was no further information on our other injured players apart from they'd not feature this weekend. He also mentioned Jota had taken a knock during our last match and a full assessment of his health was still being undertaken.

The most recent information to come out of the Liverpool camp after the press conference is that Jota has suffered a knee injury and will not be available for the Fulham match. Fingers crossed it's just bruising and he will be fighting fit to face Spurs.

In better news, Alisson has begun to train although a return this weekend might be too soon. If Adrian was still our number 2 GK I would want Klopp to try and push Alisson back as quickly possible, but with the emergence of Kelleher I feel confident enough he can do the job and we bring Alisson back for the Tottenham game.

During the upcoming busy Christmas schedule almost every game is a must win, especially against the lower ranked teams because we don't want to be chasing the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea towards the end of the season.

It's imperative we take maximum points from teams like Fulham and avoid any more results similar to what we suffered against Brighton.

Another match week, another tough decision for Klopp in who he will choose to start. Even though he says he's not thinking about the Spurs match, I am sure it will play a small part in his squad selection. So with that in mind here is my possible line-up.

Kelleher, Robbo, Matip, Fabinho, TAA, Hendo, Gini, Jones, Salah, Bobby, Mane

On the bench I wouldn't mind seeing.

Alisson/Adrian, Phillips, Neco, Taki, Naby, Clarkson, Origi (but the only time he gets off the bench is to get someone a drink)

LiverBird's Scorecast: Mane has shown signs he's getting back to his best so watch out for a motm performance from him and although Fulham will put up a good scrap this one's a four nil LFC win!
