Liverpool v Leicester | Live fans match thread!

Three, two, one and we're back in the room. Gone is the snoozefest they call the international break and back is the swashbuckling, heavy metal football, we call the league we're going to win. Again. Before kick off however a now familiar question looms - do we have enough players to take part?

In answering that we must consider our current injury list:

Salah is out with Covid. Henderson's out with a groin injury, thanks Gareth. Gomez was also broken on international duty - suffering a serious knee injury he's now out of action for the foreseeable.

Trent double-A is still recovering from a calf issue with Klopp confirming he won't be available but on the plus side, subject to late fitness tests Thiago, Fabinho, Rhys Williams and The Ox are all possibles.

The good news then is we can play the game but the line-up is impossible to predict due to the just mentioned known unknowns. If we said Fabinho and Rhys return, which is my gut feeling, then how about we field the following?

There are actually many elevens we could start and with so many injuries that's a sign we've really improved our squad depth.

I've gone with Rhys at the back because he's shown his worth with solid European performances and I believe Klopp will be confident enough to rely on him for this one.

I don't feel Klopp has been assured enough by some of Curtis Jones recent play to field him in such an important league leading decider though. I'd agree meaning Milner gets the nod at right-back.

Leicester are a very good side, in very good form and this will be a very tough game, hence throughout midfield and attack I've aired on the side of solidity over finesse.

Although we do have better squad strength this season there are just too many injuries to key players such as Henderson and Alexander-Arnold for us to approach this in Gung ho fashion.

We won't have Trent's attacking output on the right which is why I've picked Robertson on the left, even though he struggled a bit for Scotland and may need a break. Thankfully Kostas is back from injury now so he could come on later in the game but I'd rather have Robbo get us off to a good start.

Keep things tight, neat and tidy, work the ball to our attackers Jota and we can pinch a goal or two. We cannot switch off for even a single second though or else the likes of Vardy will punish us.

What line-up would you start fellow Reds and how do you see the game going?

Liverbird's Scorecast: It won't be a tight game, we will be outstanding and the score will be 4-0! Again.
