And another one gone and another one gone......

Another one bites the dust. This time Salah, struck down by Covid19 and as ever the first thing to say is we wish him a speedy recovery. Reportedly he's asymptomatic and will continue to train in Egypt for a week where he was on international duty.

He'll of course be in isolation and I expect then fly back to the UK for another week of the same. No chance of featuring in our next match for Mo and with a matching status for Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk and Oxlade-Chamerlain, where does that leave us?......

Well no, actually, the all too familiar sight above need not apply here. Even without Mo, there are a Jota reasons we can still be awesome.

Overall we cannot escape the fact our line-up options have been decreasing by the week.

However, while our defence is doing it's best to follow the same path as the dinosaurs, in Sadio Manesaurolophus,  Taki Triceramino, Jotaosaurus Rex, Bobby Firminodon and Shaqaraptor there exists a still fearsome attack.

Between now and next Sunday, let's hope Fabinho and Thiago also become available and if that happens then here's my team to shoot Brendan Rodgers' Foxes.

Some positives to note

Kostas featured for Greece and put in a good performance to boot so although I'd stick with Robertson for our next game, due to it likely being a tough one, we should be able to rest him soon.

Naby Keita is back available which should help in midfield. I'd consider using him later on in the Leicester match if we need more bite from the centre of the pitch but feel Milner, Henderson and hopefully Thiago are a more steady starting three.

Oxlade is due back possibly within the next couple of weeks.

Firmino grabbed himself another goal for Brazil and so rather than bench him as has been the consideration lately, with Mo now out of contention I'd flip the switch and play Bobby as striker.

That may be a slightly hit or miss roll of the dice but sometimes that's what you need to do and it could help get Firmino back on track. Mane plays well on the right and Jota's great on the left. I feel that set up would do the trick.

Areas to ponder

Is Neco Williams good enough to step in at right-back while Trent is out or should we use Milner?

I'm in boisterous spirit and so went with 'fish yeah he is' Let's give the lad a try and he may reward us handsomely. With similar logic and hope as my Firmino pick - using Neco could do his confidence and progression the world of good.

Of course both those ideas could go the other way but when the chips are down, just as I back us to find a winning path through these injuries, I'll always bet Red.

What say you all. How concerned are you by our depleted squad and how would you line us up against Brendan's dirty dozen outstanding eleven.
