Liverpool FC v Burnley: live fans match thread!

We are back to winning ways and doing it in style with some scintillating football mid-week as we continue to break records - detailed by Case in his post-match review. One other thing to note is we currently sit on 92 points which is equal to Manchester United's highest ever tally. That was during a 42 game season, and we still have 4 more games to go. If we were to look at ManU's highest in a 38 game season that would be 91, so we have surpassed that already.

Burnley make the trek to Anfield for our second from last home game of the 2019/20 season and we'd have to travel all the way back to 1974 to watch Burnley record a win at Anfield. Liverpool have won five of our last six meetings (and 1 draw) scoring 15 goals and conceding 7.Only keeping one clean sheet which was earlier this season at Turf Moor in a 0-3 LFC triumph.

On paper this should be another walk in the park, however Burnley are still mathematically in with a chance to play European football next season, especially if Manchester City get the boot. Burnley currently sit on 49 points only 3 behind 6th placed Wolves, so you can be certain they'll come at us with both guns locked and loaded (or buses parked). This should be a very similar game plan to the one versus Brighton because both their numbers are similar, other than the win/loss ratio that is. Brighton GF 36 and GA 47 compared to Burnley's GF 38 and GA 46.

LFC team news

We know Joel Matip is out for the rest of the season (hopefully Lovren as well, unfortunately not) but what about Jordan Henderson, oh Captain my Captain. It was a clumsy and just plain unlucky knock that caused his knee to hyper extend as Brighton's player went to ground and his momentum setting course straight into the legs of Hendo. Henderson has gone for scans on the knee and Klopp had originally stated he wasn't expecting a great outcome but has now confirmed Jordan Henderson will be out for the remainder of this season and a small possibility the start of next. The silver lining is he will not require surgery.

With this in mind how many changes will Klopp make as he seems to be favouring a small rotation system since the season has gotten back under way. My personal line-up will probably look nothing like what Klopp chooses but I'd go with the following.

Alisson, Robbo, Gomez, VVD, Neco, Fab, Jones, Gini, Mane, Bobby, Salah.
Bench, Adrian, TAA, Taki, Elliott, Origi, Shaq, Ox, Naby, Milner.

How do people see this one going and what is your preferred starting eleven? To help you decide here is Jurgen's pre-match view.

LiverBird's scorecast...... 4-0! (always good to mix it up a bit)
