West Ham vs LFC

Well thank goodness we didn't have to wait too long to wipe that farcical performance in the cup out of our minds as we return to our record breaking EPL season. This mid week game is due to our illustrious team being unavailable in England because we were busy becoming World Champions.

Our opposition's form can be best described as undesirable this last month or two with only three wins out of their last eleven games. A new year brought a new coach for the Hammers with the return of the wily old fox David Moyes and at first it looked like a stellar move on behalf of the board with West Ham trouncing Bournemouth 4-0, followed by a win in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Although it didn't take long for the "bubble" to burst with the Hammers losing three of their last four games including a 0-1 defeat at home to a ten man West Brom, which has left Moyes wondering what the hell he's got himself into. West Ham will be without three key players due to injuries, Jack Wiltshire (groin), Yarmolenko (sore abs) and Felipe Anderson (sore back), all three players are attack minded which could explain West Ham's lack of goals in recent weeks.

Klopp on the other hand has a few extra players he's now able to choose for the bus ride down to London on Wednesday. Clyne is still MIA and probably will be for the foreseeable, Milner and Mane are close to returning and may be available for the weekend's match against Southampton and Lallana has apparently recovered from illness to be available too. Did any of the senior lads that played in the FA Cup 4th round perform well enough to be getting named in Klopp's squad for this match, hell no but we're required to list eighteen players on the team sheet. Should Klopp give one or two of the youngsters the rewards they deserve or should he bring back some of the senior players to give them pitch minutes they undoubtedly need.

Just what will Klopp's starting XI look like, if I had to guess (which I do as it's the match day thread and Klopp is currently ignoring my emails after my scathing attack on his replay comments) poor form Klopp but it's been said now move on, the line up will look something like:

Becker, Trent, Joe, Virgil, Andy, Jordan, Alex, Georginio, Roberto, Mohamed, Divock (doesn't deserve it but got no one else Mane is out injured)

Bench: Castillo, Joel, Dejan, Naby, Adam, Fabio, Takumi.
