Spanish whispers

The festive season has come and gone and just like that we are into the season of Chinese Whispers.  So lets have a quick gander at all the players that are leaving and who is coming to LFC during this transfer window.

January-sales-sign

Klopp has been quoted as saying the following when questioned about any more incoming players in January: "It is always tricky, we will probably not be too busy.  We will see what happens, but it is not likely" so in Klopp's language this gives us no real answers and is as it should be. The people behind the scene at LFC have been doing a tremendous job these last few years in retaining any information in regards to our transfers. We've already brought in support for our front three and attacking midfield in the shape of Japanese sensation Takumi Minamino who we all eagerly await his debut.

We've been linked with/rumoured to be keeping an eye on:

Max Clark (23) - a left back who has been impressive in the Dutch league and was a former trainee at Hull.

Jamal Lewis (21) - an attack minded left-back who would be considered as cover for Robertson.

Emilian Buendia (23) - a creative midfielder with 7 assists so far this season.

Ryan Fraser (25) - winger with great industry, although his form this season is questionable.

Victor Osimhen (21) - tall striker who can also play left and right wing, 10 goals and 3 assists from 16 starts for Lille in Ligue one this season.

David Neres (22) - Brazilian, right winger but can also play left wing and attacking midfield. Currently plays for Ajax.

Diego Carlos (26) - highly rated Brazilian centre back. Currently plays for Sevilla and has scored twice this season.

Then there are the rumours surrounding Sancho and Timo Werner that never seem to die but have been getting a little quieter lately, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea sniffing around the two players.

Players that maybe on their way out:

The most recent report that is emerging, and as usual originated out of Spain, is that Real Madrid representatives have made contact with Sadio Mane's reps with a purse of 150 million. Now that is a lot of paella but are FSG so hungry that they'd consider selling a player whose arguably been our best and most consistent attacker this season. Although 150m would certainly give us a good bundle of green backs to bring in a couple of decent players.

Then there's Adam Lallana, who by all accounts has been putting in some decent shifts these past few weeks as his contract at LFC is drawing to a close. Now is this good patch a way for Lallana to show the LFC board he's worthy of a new contract or is he putting himself in the shop window to find new residence somewhere. One thing's for sure with the increasing presence of the academy players on the bench (Jones and Elliott) as well as Taki Mo, Lallana will be feeling the pressure.

Talking about academy players Rhian Brewster is being touted to clubs for a loan spell as his development seems to have stagnated in the U/23's. Swansea City are said to be interested in taking the 19 year old on board for the rest of the Championship season they're also interested in taking Curtis Jones at the same time.

If you were told there needed to be three player changes (could include academy or loaned out players) to the first team what changes do you think we should make.
