Liverpool v Southampton | Live fans match thread!

Having seen off The Irons in a rather lack lustre affair next up are ninth place Southampton who've won five of their last seven league games including beating Palace, Leicester, Spurs and Chelsea. The Orange Cat mentioned in our last comments section that we now excel at in-game management, often doing just enough to win but no more. In this game we may need to turn things up a notch to get the result we want and it will be a good test to see if we can go through the gears and do so.

Southampton, as we all know, were founded in 1885 by Sir Rodger Moore and later nick-named after a tv series, odd though that is. Moving on, perhaps fortunately for us they'll be without one of their key players, midfielder Stuart Armstrong. He's been pivotal in their recent good form chipping in with some vital goals. We will of course have to keep an eye on Danny Ings who's been scoring for fun - not against us please Danny, we all wish you well, for the rest of the season.

Injury wise for our side Shaq, Milner, Lallana and Mane are all likely to be unavailable but Origi hopefully will be. Minamino will probably make an appearance and Fabinho could start if Jurgen thinks he's fully match fit now but I expect we'll go with the same team who started against West Ham.

Alisson, Robertoson, Van Dunk, Gomex, TA², Hendinio, Gene Ginio, Oxo, Salad, Dazzler, Original 501

Hopefully Salah and Origi's confidence will have benefited from a goal each (apparently Origi Harry claimed his one from Ox) last time out and we'll start February off in fine winning fashion before heading for our winter break. My scoreline prediction for this one, 4-0. Come on the Reds!

Prediction League bonus
Will Danny Ings score (2 points)
Will Origi score (2 points)
How many goals will the two players score between them (2 points)
All three right for an extra 10 points!
