Table Toppers LFC Vs Wolves

The good thing about this time of year is that the games come thick and fast, just like… well you know. It’s been 3 days since our boys took on (and dominated) Leicester and now we face a formidable opponent Wolverhampton Wanderers, who make the trek from East Midlands to the fortress known as Anfield.

Becoming World Club Champions LFC have earned the right to have a gold cup badge on their shirt issued by FIFA. However the FA have a ruling that the gold badge is not allowed to be worn in any EPL game but it can be on our Champion League shirts. LFC admin staff on the night the club became World Champions drafted and issued a letter to the FA requesting permission to have the gold badge placed on one of our strips in an EPL game. The FA have given us permission to see out 2019 with a one off strip that will proudly display the gold badge demonstrating to all those watching on we are undoubtedly World Champions.

It’s going to be another tough outing (not that Leicester was) as Wolves are currently fighting Sheffield United and Chelsea for 4th and 5th spots in the league table. Wolves are coming off a difficult game against Pep's Man City only 2 days ago where they pulled off a magnificent come from behind victory (also known as doing a Jay). It will be interesting to see how strong of a team both clubs field for this game as squad depths begin to be tested during such heavy scheduling.

LFC’s possible (but unlikely) lineup:
Alisson, Neco, Gomez, VVD, Milner, Hendo, Lallana, Gini, Salah, Origi, Shaqiri.
