Leicester Foxes 0-4 League Leaders Liverpool | Player ratings

TAA-celebrates
Well that was okay wasn't it, as we all predicted it did indeed turn out to be a display of total dominance over the second placed team in the league. An utter shellacking. A right good drubbing. A successful Boxing Day fox hunt. Let's see how each of our amazing Redmen rated individually.

Alisson 7.5 Zero shots on target from Leicester means Alisson can't score too highly but he was solid from start to finish. Good distribution, came out well to sweep the ball away when needed and linked up very nicely with our defence.

Alexander-Arnold 10 A ruddy magnificent display from young Trent. Simply amazing in both attack and defence. Three sublime crosses leading to three goals, two being direct assists and then capped it off with a great first touch shot to score our fourth. MOTM

Gomez 8 Very solid outing from Joe, back to his best and pairing up well with VVD. Reads the game well and is rarely beaten or caught out positionally. Did lots of important defensive work.

Van Dijk 8 Same as Gomez - had a great game and as all our defence thoroughly deserved a clean sheet. Joe did slightly more of the basic defending and Virgil did a touch more of the forward passing play. Between them a formidable CB duo.

Roberston 8 Great game as always from Robbo. All good in defence and helped a lot in attack. Took the corner which led to our first and was very close to scoring his own headed goal when TAA picked him out at Leicester's far post. Only some very good defending stopped him.

Keita 8 Really good stuff from Naby. Nothing to fault at all. Industrious throughout, made plenty of great forward runs, held on to the ball well when needed and put in some very decent defensive work.

Henderson 9 Epic performance from our captain. Absolutely bossed the midfield, involved in pretty much every play either recycling the ball, winning it back or spraying passes with pinpoint precision - long, short, over the top dinks, on the deck defence splitters, you name it Hendo does it. The heart of our team and surely there can't be many doubters left. Picked up a knock but hopefully not serious.

Wijnaldum 7.5 Good but as ever I wish to see just that little bit more. Lots of defensive work done and plenty of attacking endeavour, the glue which bonds our team but could occasionally show some more of the individual brilliance we know he's capable of.

Salah 7 I didn't think Mo was as bad as some did but he certainly wasn't at his best. Got into good positions, made good runs, was involved but lacked the killer end product and at times didn't make the right decisions with when to shoot and when to pass.

Firmino 9 Fantastic from Bobby. The kind of game we've been missing from him in the EPL for a while. Back with a bang, two superbly taken goals - a perfect header for the first and a sublime cushioned touch of control and very well placed shot for the second. Good play all round.

Mane 7 I didn't think Mane was any better than Salah really. In fact he too did a fair amount of good work positionally, in movement and winning the ball but his touch then deserted him in front of goal.

Subs

Milner 7.5 Came on with twenty minutes to go, stood in the area for a TAA corner, said corner was hand balled and a penalty awarded to us which sees Milner step up and with his first touch of the game, cool as a cucumber, slot home our second goal of the game. Solid for the remainder.

Origi 7.5 On at the same time as Milner and played pretty well. Took Mane's position on the left and made a right nuisance of himself for Leicester's tired legs to deal with. Won the ball, drove forward with some nice runs and also held up play well.

Lallana n/a Came on for the injured Henderson but with only eight minutes of normal time left it would be unfair to rate him.

Klopp 9.5 Using our squad tremendously well of late and this game was no exception. Despite playing things down beforehand this was obviously a massive fixture in terms of the title and when we beat our nearest league competitor at their own ground by four goals to nil, you can't draw any conclusion other than the Gaffa got things bob on.

A hugely good and significant win this and we're undeniably now huge favourites for the title. Need to keep our focus though and just keep on keeping on.

Yesterday we stuffed the fox and next up we must remain hungrier than the wolf because as we've just shown when we keep and use that hunger and desire we're the best bloomin team on the planet.
