Napoli vs Liverpool

Champions League again so of course it's Napoli, again. Hendo and Bob have formally declared today "cliché day" so I will go with "start as you mean to go on" and "it's not where you start it's where you finish". I am looking forward to seeing all your favourite clichés in your posts and am especially looking forward to the Scottish ones which I expect will be about money and drizzle ;-)

Last year our campaign got off to a stuttering start and we were even second best in Naples and lost 1-0. This will be a test again especially for our defence and will show whether we have continued to develop as a team. It is not crucial we win this match to qualify and it isn't even that important whether we qualify for the knock-out stages as winners of the group or runners up. What matters though is the message we can send out to other teams and how winning these kind of games reinforces the invincible image outside and within the club.

One issue I hardly dare mention is that Robbo did not train yesterday after picking up a knock against Newcastle and will need a fitness test today. Fingers crossed. I am not sure what team Klopp will pick but think he will stick with his usual defence and attack (fitness permitting)  and a midfield of Fab, Hendo and Gini.  Hopefully everything will end "Napoli ever after" for us.
