Liverpool in talks to sign the next Pirlo

According to a and I quote, "reliable journalist" Liverpool are in talks with Italian club Brescia about signing their eighteen year old defensive midfielder, Sandro Tonali. And according to other reports Sandro is going to become the next Pirlo.

Some player info:

Tonali's main position is defensive midfielder but he can also play central midfield. He's 1.81M tall and a right footer. This season in Serie B, he's made 19 appearances, scored 2 goals, got 5 assists and helped them keep 3 clean sheets and reach 2nd in the league - just 1 point off 1st.

Although the figures being bandied about are thirty odd million pounds, that is merely the figure Brescia's owner has said he thinks Tonali is worth. His actual current market value is £13.5million and I would expect any deal to be much closer to that.

At the right price could Tonali be an astute signing? I am not certain he would fill the midfield gap we've been discussing of late but he does look to be a very good player with huge potential. For a figure of let's say £15million, at the very minimum he could be great cover for Fabinho; which in itself would be great value. If he then turns into Pirlo 2.0 as well then we'd have done some great business.

What do we think then peoples, welcome to LFC?
