Great win today, Liverpool dominated for most of the game and got the job done to keep our perfect start intact.

Despite Pochettino’s post-match whinge about a late penalty, he even admitted that the better team won.

A happy Jurgen must be tearing his hair out with the profligate manner of his two forwards Mane and Salah. I imagine there will be words in the dressing room specially reserved for those two as it appeared they were working for themselves as opposed to the team.

Great performances from JFM and Bobby Firmino, even Gini had a better game than his last two. I have a feeling that Naby Keita needs more time to completely adjust to the Premier League as I have felt his last three performances have been lacking the drive and thrust he normally brings to the table.

Here are my player ratings, feel free to criticise but don’t hurt my feelings:-

Alisson 7 Had a good game made some saves, stood little chance with goal.

TAA 6 Got caught out a couple of times, we keep forgetting he is only a Pup.

Gomez 7 Also got caught out a couple of times, but also saved two certain goals.

Van Dyke 7 Another imperious performance.

Robinson 7 Another quiet day for the Scottish Captain, kept his flank fairly tight.

Milner (MOTM) 9 He keeps defying his age and runs around like a cross country school boy. He is also as hard as nails.

Gini 5 Always flatters to deceive…………………………… only kidding (7) today. Played reasonably well and scored.

Keita 6 I think Keita has been struggling to adjust to the Premiership, it showed today.

Firmino 8 Bobby was everywhere today, even in the right place to get a deserved goal.

Salah 6 Still out of sorts although some of his passes were good and his work rate was unquestioned.

Mane 6 Needs to sort out his decision making in front of goal, he needs to sort out his passing the ball. He has a tendency to hang onto the ball too long.

Subs:

Hendo 10 Need I say more.

Studge 6 Little impact.
