Match thread: Chelsea vs Liverpool

After the jubilation of midweek, it’s back to business in the Premier League today with a massive game away at Chelsea. A draw or more will secure our place at Europe’s top table next season and looking at the lineup, Jurgen is taking this one as seriously as it gets.

One change for us from the team that started at Roma during the week - Clyne in for Hendo so looks like we’ll see Trent in midfield again. Be interesting to see how he gets on as I believe he’ll end up as a CM.

Bit nervous about today, we’ve allowed it to become a much bigger game than we should have by not  dispatching West Brom or Stoke this past fortnight and it’s all or nothing for Chelsea in terms of Champions League qualification so I expect them to be highly motivated. Hope we’ve enough left in the tank after Roma to deal with them.

Bakayoko is the weak link in that Chelsea team for me and I’ve no doubt our midfield can press him into mistakes so hopefully we can capitalise on that. Other than that, I think we’re the better team but a lot will come down to our energy levels.

Confirmed teams

Liverpool: Karius, Clyne, Lovren, van Dijk, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Mane
